Salary Range - $75,000 to $95,000

Reporting to  the  Chief Administrative Officer, the  Treasurer  is responsible for  planning
and  coordinating  all  aspects  of  the  Finance  Department  including  tax  collection,
financial  reporting,  payroll,  accounts  payable,  accounts  receivable,  and  cash  flow

The preferred applicant will have:

  •   A University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business studies
  •   Enrolment in the Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) program
  •   Minimum five (5) years of related experience
  •   Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations related to  municipal finance, taxation and reporting requirements
  •   Experience in municipal financial and taxation software
  •   Proficiency  in  Microsoft  Office  software  including  Excel  (advanced  level),  Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  •   Excellent  oral  and  written  communication  skills  with  demonstrated  interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving and     decision making skills

The 2017 Interim Tax bills have been mailed and should be arriving in your mailboxes shortly.  Included with your bill are your 2017 Municipal Permits and an explanatory letter.  These permits allow you to park at Carling Resident-only parking areas and utilize the Carling waste sites - treat them with care!  

Recognizing that tax bills don’t arrive on January 1st, there will be a grace period until February 28th, during which time the previous year’s permit will be accepted. On or after March 1st, failure to display a current 2017 Municipal Permit will result in denial of access to waste sites and/or parking facilities. All permits issued prior to January 1st 2017 are no longer valid regardless of the expiry date shown. These old permits must be destroyed or surrendered to the Township Office.



Permits that are lost or stolen can be replaced for $25/permit.
